What Nigel Sears Ex Head of ladies British Tennis and Ex Coach to Amanda Coetzer, Daniella Hantuchova and current coach to Ana Ivanovic (Ex World No.1 and Grand Slam Champion) says about Nino Severino, the Head Coach of EBAT:

“Nino has done a tremendous job as coach/mentor to Elena Baltacha. Working one on one on the tour is an intense business and he handles it very well… he is always open to advice when it is given and he takes his role very seriously… the results speak for themselves”.
Elena Baltacha:

  • Broke the top 50 from being ranked 160 in the world
  • Has made top 50 WTA ranking two years running
  • Has achieved 3 top 10 wins
  • Beat the reigning French Open Grand Slam Champion
  • Beat the current French Open champion
  • Made quarter finals of a premier WTA event
  • Had the best prize money and ranking points haul of her professional career

Elena has gone from suffering 9 years on the ITF circuit to being a fully recognised WTA Tour player, she said:

“I owe this amazing turn around to Nino’s AMS methods of training, I thought my dreams of being a WTA Tour player and competing against the best players in the world on a week to week basis were over. I even planned to retire and had a job set up to coach at a local tennis club, I am finally living my dream and want to create this opportunity for other young female players”.

Nino is now committed to Elena’s Tennis Academy and will work with her to continually invest back into British Tennis.
